The 'Beijing Bicycle' is now on demand for daily hire. as a backpacker, expect to pay 10元per day. The locals only pay 2元, from both of which 1yuan goes to the 'owner' of the bike. Nevertheless, 10 yuan is cheap - and the bikes are good too. Of course, you'll be expected to pay around a 200元 deposit because you don't have an ID card!
